The Eleventh Edition, Version 2021 of the Nice Classification (NCL 11-2021) has come into force from 1st January, 2021.

Public Notice dated 26th August 2020 - passed by the Offices of Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM)
In view of the ongoing Covid-19 situation it has been decided by the office of CGPDTM that the Show-Cause Hearings shall be taken up through video conferencing. However, express consent needs to be given by the Applicant/Authorized Agent on or before 5th September, 2020 by sending an email at tlahearing-tmr@gov.in.
Public Notices dated 19th June 2020 - passed by the Office of CGPDTM and Copyright Office respectively
Pursuant to Order dated 17th June, 2020 passed by Delhi High Court (DHC), the Offices of Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM) and Copyright Office have respectively issued Public Notice dated 19th June 2020 whereby they have withdrawn the earlier Public Notice dated 18th May, 2020 and the timelines/periods for the completion of various acts/proceedings, filing of any reply/document, payment of fees, etc. falling due after 15.03.2020 shall be the date as decided/ordered by DHC in due course.
Circular dated 11th June 2020 - High Court of Delhi
Delhi High Court takes one more major step in its bid to become Digital. Today (13.06.2020), at 5:00 p.m. Hon’ble Mr. Justice D.N.Patel, Chief Justice, Delhi High Court in the august presence of Companion Judges of Delhi High Court and other distinguished guests will e-inaugurate Online e-Filing System of Delhi High Court. This facility will enable the Advocates/litigants-in-person to file fresh cases/caveat as well as applications/reply/rejoinder/documents/vakalatnama etc. in the pending cases from their chamber/office/residence or any other place at any time, without the necessity of personally visiting the Filing Counters/Designated Counters. Public Notice dated 18th May 2020 regarding the timelines/periods as prescribed under the IP Acts and Rules
As per the said Public Notice issued by Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, the due dates falling between 15.03.2020 to 17.05.2020 (period of lockdown due to Covid Pandemic) stands extended and will fall due on 01.06.2020.
